I800 approved!

Today I emailed USCIS (well I have no patience as you can see) asking about updates on our I800 application.
5 minutes later I have received this email:
Your I-800 application was approved yesterday 3/8/12, and you should receive your approval notice by mail within 7-10 days.
This was quick and surprising.  So now I suppose to wait about 7 days and email NVC (National Visa Center) to find out if we are in their system. If so they will give us our GUZ #, which will allow us to get PDF letter that I need to get to my agency ASAP so they can issue Article V. The Article 5 is the consulate pre-approving  Mei for an immigrant visa
Another step done and few more to go:
  • Get GUZ#
  • Get Cable PDF letter
  • Article V
  • Travel Approval
  • Consulate appointment
What a great news before the weekend!

  1. Congrats on the I-800. Don't wait the seven days to start emailing. They love the emails. It took me 8 days after I-800 approval to get our pdf and cable. So I guess you could wait 7 days and it wouldn't make a difference but look at the fun you would miss :) I am so very happy for you :)
